Mini House – Residential Center for Women
Mini Twelve Step House, Inc. is one of the first residential rehabilitation facilities to help women suffering from alcoholism and drug addiction.
Mini House is the agency's primary residential service site, and the location of the Mini Twelve Step House Inc. Residential Treatment program. This residential treatment facility provides a therapeutic environment in a homelike setting where women can begin to regain their self-respect and dignity. Peer-based case management and mentoring encourage trust and self-disclosure while empowering the women to build the skills necessary for a sober, healthy life. This secure setting combined with structure, education and mutual support facilitate recovery and help women maintain their commitment to sobriety. The thirty-one (31) bed home provides treatment for up to six months. The Residential Treatment program consists of 180 days of continuous substance abuse prevention and intervention. Extensive exposure to recovery principles are integrated with day-to-day activities designed to help women learn to meet life challenges free of drugs and alcohol.
This health center is a Health Center Program grantee under 42 U.S.C. 254b, and a deemed Public Health Service employee under 42 U.S.C. 233(g)-(n).
