The JWCH Family Planning Program is implemented at four Los Angeles County Comprehensive Health Centers and six other sites. The program provides family planning services to over 18,000 women and 6,000 men each year; 86% of these women have incomes below the federal poverty level. The following services are provided at all JWCH family planning sites located within LAC Comprehensive Health Centers:
- Physical/gynecological examinations
- Birth control methods and counseling
- Pregnancy testing and referrals for prenatal services
- Routine mammograms
- Diagnosis and treatment of common gynecological problems
- Screening for cervical and breast cancer
- Diagnosis and treatment of STDs
- HIV testing and counseling
- Health education
- Specialty referrals
- Pediatric services beginning in April, 2007.
