Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) for Alcohol Use


  • Screening during clinic admission using the AUDIT (Alcohol use disorders identification test)
  • Mild scores will be discussed with primary care provider
  • Moderate scores will include 3-4 short informational sessions and/or brief educational information to assist with reducing alcohol use
  • Severe scores will include efforts to help with either harm reduction or recovery treatment linkage


  • This service is available to all persons who come to a JWCH Wesley Health Clinic
