Mental Health Services at Project 50



  • Mental health team from JWCH works in partnership with a mental health team from Department of Mental Health and case managers from Skid Row Housing Trust
  • Services are based on a “Housing First” model that is dedicated to helping to keep individuals housed and then working with them to have the best quality of life possible
  • Assists with medical care and care coordination
  • Addresses use of alcohol or drugs to self medicate or chemical dependency that develops from this
  • Provides transportation, money management, linkage to other resources
  • Psychiatrist and mental health therapist to provide medication and therapy

Eligibility Factors:

  • Adults only
  • Must be a resident at the Cobb Apartments (Skid Row Housing Trust)
  • Significant and potentially life disrupting mental health symptoms
  • History of trauma including experience of violence, abuse, loss
  • Drug or alcohol use
  • History of homelessness


  • Open only to residents of Skid Row Housing Trust Cobb Apartments
  • Individuals can access Cobb Apartments through placement from the Coordinated Entry System (CES) operated through LAHSA
