Important Dates

Planning ahead can make voting easier. Mark these important dates so you’re registered, prepared, and ready to make your voice heard.

  • Early by mail, starting October 5, 2026. Ballots must be postmarked no later than November 3, 2026 and received no later than November 10, 2026.
  • Last day to register to vote for the primary election is October 19, 2026.
  • Early in person at vote centers beginning October 24 to November 3, 2026.
  • On Election Day at a vote center on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.

The 2026 California General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.

Early voting begins October 5, 2026.
